| Description: |
The short range certificate has replaced the old VHF licence in the RYA training scheme. This course enables candidates to understand how to use modern VHF radios fitted with DSC controllers and forms an introduction to the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System.
It prepares candidates to operate radios correctly and safely, especially in emergency situations.
The course is aimed at all deck crew and anyone else who may be required to operate a yachts VHF communications equipment. |
