Course content:
AIM: At the end of the course the student will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of fire-fighting and the use of breathing apparatus.
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course the student will have or be able to demonstrate:-
A knowledge of the type and correct use of extinguishers.
A knowledge of the chemistry and theory of combustion.
A knowledge of fire fighting equipment.
Action to be taken in the event of a fire.
How to work in heat and darkness.
A basic knowledge of breathing apparatus.
Practical search and rescue.
