The Bond IT Course - level one is designed for Captains, Engineers and Deckhands who are required to self manage a ships basic IT network.
This course will help them to understand the network building blocks typically used on board a Super Yacht.
Topics such as Network Infrastructure, Server Administration, Security and Troubleshooting techniques of all important IT services will be covered. The course also includes troubleshooting and faultfinding exercises that represent real life scenarios.
The course has been designed by Bond Technical Management IT staff and Will Faimatea who together have 30 years onboard experience with IT systems. This course only requires a basic knowledge of personal computer skills.
The course is endorsed by the Professional Yachtsmen Association (PYA) and included in the course cost are lunch and a networking dinner after the first day. The course is held over two days and we do not take more than six students in a course as this gives much better access to the instructor who is our own Microsoft Certified Trainer. |
