After making a couple of course adjustments to keep the swell abeam or abaft the beam, we braced ourselves for the predicted 24 hours of heavy sea. During squalls visibility was reduced to zero, and swells became more organized with heights exceeding 4m and apparent wind exceeded 50 knots.
