Robert Hersh joins Vicem Yachts USA as new broker

Vicem Yachts USA (the US based part of Turkey's Vicem Yachts) has hired Robert Hersh as its broker representative in Newport and along the US West Coast. “We have been looking for some time to grow the Vicem brand on the West Coast,” said Michael Landsberg, President of Vicem Yachts USA.  “We are enthusiastic that Vicem yachts will generate the same interest and mirror the established appeal it has enjoyed on the East Coast, and Robert will contribute greatly to developing Vicem’s profile in the region.”

Robert Hersh is a licensed yacht broker specialising in the sale of classic, downeast style motor yachts.  For more than a decade, he has represented product offerings from CW Hood, MJM Yachts and CH Marine. Hersh says  “The timeless look and style of a Vicem, coupled with its outstanding reputation as a quality builder dedicated to unparalleled craftsmanship and design, fits perfectly with my philosophy for the kind of yacht I like to sell. I am excited about this opportunity to represent Vicem here on the Pacific.”

It was his childhood love of boating that brought him back to the yachting industry – but not before enjoying a 30-year career as a Hollywood director.  Hersh is a four-time Emmy(R) Award winning television director whose credits include ABC’s Wide World of Sports, Nightline, Good Morning America, the Academy Awards, and numerous nationally syndicated and network talk shows such as Geraldo, The Montel Williams Show and Best Damn Sports Show.

In 1999 he founded his own yacht brokerage firm, PrimeTime Yachts. In addition to representing Vicem, Robert will continue to represent the other yacht lines through his brokerage firm. Hersh is also a USCG Captain in the state of California.
